The fracturing manifold consists of a main body, a control valve, and a union. The main body can be welded or forged, and can withstand pressures of 60 MPa and 70 MPa, respectively. The control valve is typically a ball valve or plug valve, with a maximum pressure tolerance of 70 MPa. During operation, the fracturing truck is connected to the control valve via a 2" union, while the surface pipeline to the wellhead is connected to a 2 1/2" union. A vent valve is used to drain excess pressure and fluid from the manifold.
Before operation, carefully inspect the fracturing manifold to ensure it has a certificate of conformity and is within its safe use period. Avoid using substandard or expired products. During operation, ensure all valves are inspected and operated correctly. If leakage is detected during the test squeeze, the operation should be stopped immediately, and the pressure should be released by opening the vent valve before repairs. Frac manifolds should not be used beyond their expiration date, and repairs should be sent to a professional inspection department.
The wax ball manifold also features a surface connection, allowing the fracturing truck to pump wax balls from the container into the well. Its main components include the wax ball container, control valve, and union. Ensure the container is certified and the operating pressure meets the requirements. Empty the container before adding wax balls, and keep no one on site during pumping to prevent accidental injury. Repairs should also be sent to a professional inspection department.
